Using Xcode 27's Agent Skills in Claude, Codex, and Cursor

It’s WWDC week and we had a lot of announcements. It was hard to pick a topic to write on, since there’s so many good things! I decided to tell you all about the Agent Skills that ship with Xcode 27 and how you can use them in any Agent IDE of choice.

SWIFT EVOLUTION

An overview of last week's Swift Proposal state changes. Check them out when they're in review, as it's your opportunity to influence the direction of Swift's future.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON

WWDC, WWDC, and WWDC!

What a week it is! We got so many great new updates this week and I'm overloaded with content. I honestly had no time yet to look at any of the sessions (except for the DeviceHub one), but that's completely fine. Remember that this is just the start of the beginning, we'll have enough time to go over everything at our own pace.

So many of you that are here said hi to me, and I've been able to giveaway a lot of RocketSim and SwiftLee pins. I was honestly afraid RocketSim would get sherlocked, but the opposite was true (see article linked above). I'm super excited about the agentic improvements we got, especially the official SwiftUI Agent Skill (among other skills).

It's sad to see Sire AI not being available in the EU from the beginning, but it does clearly show where we're heading. AppIntents get their appreciation and Foundation Models are even more important this year.

This is just a brief look into my first thoughts: I'm honestly overloaded by the events and WWDC itself. Expect a more in-depth look from my perspective over the coming weeks!

UNTIL NEXT TIME
